This month we have been highlighting the importance of thanking and recognising our Adult Volunteers through informal gestures of gratitude and by nominating volunteers for a SCOUTS SA Award.

Service Awards recognise the years of service given to SCOUTS SA by a volunteer. But, we cannot talk about our Service Awards without first thanking each and every one of our volunteers for their incredible years of service to Scouting and to the young people of our country.

“Whether you have served one year or fifty years, your dedication has helped build a stronger, kinder, and more connected generation of leaders. The time, care and wisdom you have poured into our SA Scout Movement is deeply appreciated. SCOUTS South Africa is what it is today because of you. Thank you for every moment you have given.”

How to apply?

Service Awards may be applied for by the Scout Group for their Adult Volunteers or by SCOUTS SA members directly. They will need to provide evidence of their date of investiture and all the Groups where they have been active. The application form can be found HERE. Once completed, it can be sent directly to [email protected].
