Filling in a SCOUTS SA Award application is much easier than you might think! It’s simply a way to tell the story of a fellow Scouter’s service and dedication. You don’t need fancy words or long essays -just all the facts from the heart.
All you need to do is:
- Go to the National Awards Page HERE.
- Read through the options to see which one fits best, and Choose an Award.
- Answer the questions asked for that Award in full. Perhaps you might phone a friend as well and discuss what they might know and add that as well. Make sure all the facts are truthful.
- Add any special stories or highlights that show how the Scouting volunteer has gone the extra mile.
Most forms are short and straightforward and if you’re unsure, your Regional Awards Committee or District Commissioner can always help you out.
Remember, submitting an application is one of the best ways to say “Thank You” to a fellow Scouter. Let’s recognise those who give so much of themselves to help our young people grow!
