Calling all active members of SCOUTS South Africa and registered Alumni members! We’re excited to announce a special competition designed to build our alumni network and strengthen our Scouting family for years to come!

SCOUTS South Africa Alumni sign-up competition!

In 2025 we launched the Alumni programme. We now need your help to promote it to past Scouts and help them sign up. Any currently registered Scouting member, adult volunteer, Group member, Rover, Scout, Cub, or Scout Alumni who recruits the most alumni sign-ups between 26 January and 28 February will WIN a one-of-a-kind tailor-made Alumni Hoodie, a unique keepsake recognising your effort and commitment!

Competition period:

From 26 January → 28 February 2026 (all sign-ups completed by midnight 28 February 2026 count).

How to participate:

• Promote the alumni programme within your Scout Group, meet-ups, contacts, ex-members, and social networks.
• Share the sign-up link for the alumni programme on our homepage: https://www.scouts.org.za
• Make sure each alumni you recruit uses your name/Group as the referrer (so we can track who enabled that sign-up).
• On 28 February we’ll tally the numbers; the person with the highest recruitment wins the tailor-made hoodie! It’s that simple.

The prize:

A custom-designed alumni hoodie. Your name could be added too! A cool way to wear your Scouts legacy!

Competition T&Cs:

• Be a registered Alumni member or a member of SCOUTS SA registered on SD to qualify for the competition.
• Every alumni sign-up counts only once and must include your name and Group as referrer.
• If there’s a tie, we’ll see who got to the total sign-ups first and that person will be the winner.
• Winner announced early March 2026. hoodie will be delivered thereafter.

Refresh your mind about our Alumni offering! Tips to promote our Alumni:

• Use your Group meetings and AGM talk about the alumni and sign-up link.
• Reach out to former Scouts in your contact lists, social media, WhatsApp chats.
• Show them what being an alumnus means (use the Five Pillars).
• Remind them that they are joining something meaningful, not just a list.
• Share your progress with your Group, keep the momentum!
