In a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity, Maritzburg X-Plorers Rovers recently organized a clothing donation drive for a local child and Youth care Centre. Martizburg X-plorers Rovers came together to collect and distribute essential clothing items to the children in need.
The Centre which provides a sanctuary for children who come from different backgrounds, some from for abusive homes, some lost their parents/families. They are all in need of care and support, so they were overwhelmed with gratitude for the Maritzburg X-plorers thoughtful gesture. The donated clothes, ranging from casual wear to warm winter clothing, will go a long way in ensuring the children’s comfort and well-being.

-plorers spent hours sorting and packing the donated itmes, which were then transported to the child and youth care centre. The children’s faces lit up with joy as we unboxed their new clothes , beaming with excitement and sincere appreciation.
Maritzburg X-plorers Rovers also spent the whole day at the Centre, playing with children different games like 30 seconds, jumping in the colour, karaoke contest and human knots (untangle your hands without letting hands go). We created a heartfelt bond with the children. We also gave them chips and sweets as part of the game prizes
Maritzburg X-plorers Rovers community service initiative is a testament to their commitment to making a positive impact in their community. Their selfless act has not only brought happiness to the children to the centre but has also inspired others to follow in their footsteps. We would also like to thank Balungile Dlamini, Phindile Mackenzie and Samukelisiwe Makhathini for their selfless contribution towards this donation drive.
