“PLEASE STAY!!!” troop members begging Ty to stay 🙂
Last night, 1st Margate Troop said goodbye to Ty as he officially aged out of 1st Margate Scouts. Ty joined the troop at just 11 years old, and through years of hard work, determination, and commitment, he went on to achieve his Springbok Award.
Over the years, Ty has shown incredible leadership and dedication to his Scouting journey:
-
He successfully completed both PLTC (Patrol Leaders Training Course) and PLTU (Patrol Leaders Training Unit).
-
He was invited back to PLTU to serve on the staff compliment as Quartermaster (QM), showing the respect and trust he earned from his peers and leaders alike.
-
He served 1st Margate Troop with distinction as Troop Leader, always putting others before himself and setting an example for younger Scouts to follow.
Ty is known for his selfless spirit, always finding a way through challenges and getting things done with determination and positivity. He has been a constant source of encouragement, a helping hand to younger Scouts, and someone who never failed to bring a smile to our faces.
Although the troop will miss seeing Ty around the hall and the campfire, his achievements and contributions to 1st Margate Scouts will always be remembered. We know he’ll continue to lead, inspire, and make a difference wherever life takes him next.
Thank you, Ty, for your service, your leadership, and your unwavering commitment to Scouting. You’ve left an incredible legacy, and we couldn’t be prouder of you! 💚
