Updated Scouting guidelines under Level 3

Dear Scout Members,

We are relieved that with the relaxation to Level 3 we can recommence with the small group outdoor activities and training as permitted under the previous Level 3 rules. For the larger groups out there, please note the restrictions on numbers for indoor activities and those relating to your available venues. Please make sure you comply with these rules.  It’s cold and most of our activities are likely to be indoors so lets make sure we do our Scouting as safely as possible.

The number of infected persons and new cases remain high. I encourage all of you to continue to practice the 3D’s in your Scouting and day to day life to limit the spread and keep yourselves and your community members safe.

For those who are fighting Covid infections, we wish you well and a swift recovery.

To those who have lost loved-ones, we are thinking of you and pray for strength during this difficult time.

If you haven’t heard, the vaccination programme has now also been extended to include 18 – 34 year olds.  We encourage all of our members to signup and get vaccinated as soon as possible. We also ask you to assist those in your family and communities who are not able to register to do so and get on the lists.

Be safe and take care of yourselves.

Your Chief Scout,
Brendon Hausberger
